Africa

Plenty Canada has been sharing in Africa since 1980 when we began working with Basotho villagers in Lesotho to address issues of safe drinking water, food production, housing, health care, afforestation and renewable energy. We also are proud of our partnerships in South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Botswana.

We share the technologies and donations we receive and we gain a rich experience with African cultures, the opportunity to improve the lives of those who have less materially but are wealthy of human spirit.

The stories of village women leading the way to develop gravity-fed water systems by digging kilometres of trenches, improving their math skills, organizing bank accounts and community contributions, and after professional training, providing education to advance sanitation standards in their communities has inspired us to hold up our partnership from Canada.

We thank everyone in Canada who has contributed to this dynamic community development process and hope you will continue your support or join us in making critical community development a reality for our partners.
