Plenty Canada has recognized that Indigenous peoples are among the most in need around the world.

Plenty Canada also recognizes that development takes place at the grass-roots and that communities have much to contribute to their own development in terms of knowledge skills and determination.

Plenty Canada therefore provides educational, financial and other support for local community organizations to emerge, which can identify village priories and strategies for small scale development that is both economically and environmentally sustainable.

Plenty Canada staff and board members comprise a diverse group of professionals who understand the relationship between the people and the land and who have an established record on successful development work for more than 30 years.
